The General Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, had a meeting with representatives of companies in the hospitality sector, with a turnover of over 600 million euros, to discuss the possibility of keeping open terraces throughout the year. Currently, terraces are legal only from April to October.

Businesspeople from the HORECA industry presented best practice models from European cities such as Paris and Vienna, emphasizing the desire to operate legally and respect public space. The Capital City Hall mentioned that they are working on a well-defined legislative framework to support the industry, which contributes to job creation and attracting tourists.

Mayor Ciucu emphasized the importance of urban regeneration and integrating businesses into a civilized framework, promising a regulation that will be respected by all operators in the field.
