The Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, announced that the Bucharest Municipality (PMB) is facing serious financial problems, receiving only 317 million lei from the Government, which is insufficient to cover current expenses. In this context, Ciucu stated that there will be restructurings, mergers, and cuts in expenses, promising a reform package in March. He emphasized that, despite these measures, the debts generated by subsidies to STB and Termoenergetica cannot be covered without an allocation of 70% from the city's budget. The mayor proposed a pact to all parties in the General Council and Parliament to ensure the functioning of PMB.

Ciucu detailed how the money is allocated, with the majority being destined for salaries and previous debts, leaving little money for other expenses. He called for the support of the parties to make responsible decisions regarding the future of Bucharest.
