On October 29, 2025, the major trade union confederations in Romania, including "Cartel ALFA" and CNSLR-Frăția, will organize a large protest in front of the Government, demanding urgent measures to improve social and economic conditions. The trade unionists are calling for an increase in the minimum wage and pensions, fair taxation, protection of jobs, and the cessation of austerity measures that particularly affect vulnerable individuals. They emphasize that Romania has the highest rate of working poor in the European Union, and the minimum cost for a decent living exceeds the current minimum wage.

The trade unionists also demand the respect of employees' legal rights, the resumption of collective negotiations, and the application of the salary law in the fields of health and education. The protest will take place between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and the Traffic Brigade will implement traffic restrictions to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. The Gendarmerie will ensure public order, and participants are advised to exhibit civilized behavior and to respect the authorities' instructions.
