MoD: A naval mine was found on the beach near the Midia firing range, and specialists are moving to neutralize it.

On Wednesday, around 10:05 AM, soldiers from the Midia shooting range discovered a failed naval mine on the nearby beach. The Ministry of National Defense announced that the perimeter was secured with the help of the Constanța County Police Inspectorate, and specific operational procedures were activated. A team of EOD divers from Center 39 Divers was mobilized to identify and neutralize the mine. This is not an isolated incident, as a similar case occurred in August 2025, when a mine was discovered on the beach at Vadu.
