30-year-old worker died after a landslide collapsed on him in Galați County

A serious incident occurred in the locality of Ghidigeni, Galați County, where a man was trapped under a landslide during the expansion works of the sewage network. According to information provided by ISU Galați, the victim was found in a state of unconsciousness.

Emergency crews, including a SMURD helicopter, a fire truck equipped with extrication tools, a multi-risk container, as well as first aid teams and the County Ambulance Service, intervened on site. The operational teams acted quickly to extract the victim and provide qualified first aid, and after performing resuscitation maneuvers, the victim was declared dead.
