A serious incident occurred on Friday in the Pietroasele area, where a 51-year-old man from the Merei locality, Buzău County, was shot in the abdomen during a hunting trip. According to the Buzău Emergency Situations Inspectorate, the victim was found conscious and cooperative but required the rapid intervention of rescue teams. Several forces were mobilized at the scene, including a special intervention vehicle, an ARGO UTV, a SMURD ambulance, and a vehicle for assistance and rescue. The intervention was complicated by the rough terrain and muddy conditions, but firefighters managed to reach the victim, provide first aid, and evacuate him safely. After stabilization, the man was transported by SMURD helicopter to a specialized medical unit for further care. Authorities are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
