A man from Rădăuți has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days, being accused of rape and sexual assault against his 11-year-old stepdaughter. Prosecutors from the Rădăuți Court have opened a criminal case against him, which includes six acts of sexual assault, two acts of rape, attempted rape of a minor, and mistreatment of a minor. The acts are said to have occurred between September 2022 and May 2025, taking advantage of the victim's vulnerability. These abuses were reported on October 7, 2025. The Rădăuți Court has approved the preventive detention request, and investigations continue to clarify all circumstances.
