A man from Cluj-Napoca was sentenced to one year and six months of suspended prison after he stole almost 30,000 lei from the car of an employee of the Romanian Lottery. The incident took place on a street in the city, where the employee left the envelopes with the collections on the back seat of his car.

The thief, who acted quickly, broke the door window and took the money in a few minutes. Surveillance cameras captured the entire action, facilitating his identification. During the hearings, the man admitted his crime and indicated the place where he hid the money, which was recovered from the storage of a monastery in the Florești commune.
