A man from Arad County was detained by the police, being accused of chasing and injuring several deer with an ATV for entertainment purposes.

A 35-year-old man from the Vinga commune, Arad County, was apprehended by the police after being caught in the act while chasing deer in a field, using an ATV. Locals discovered several injured animals with broken legs, and the landowner filmed the incident and alerted the authorities. The police found a severely injured deer in the trunk of the vehicle, which later died. The incident was reported to the Weapons, Explosives, and Dangerous Substances Service, and the man was identified and detained for 24 hours. Investigations are ongoing in a criminal case for poaching.
