A major malfunction at the CET Bucharest South affected 3,500 blocks in sectors 2, 3, 4, and 5, leaving thousands of families without hot water and heating. The incident occurred on January 4, when steam boiler number 4 broke down due to a pipe rupture. According to ELCEN, the estimated time for repairing the malfunction is January 7, after which an additional period of approximately 24 hours will be needed for the heating agent's temperature to return to normal parameters.
