The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) announced, through a press release, that it has signed contracts and framework agreements worth a total of 973,113,125 euros, under the National Investment Plan of Romania, approved by the European Commission for funding through the SAFE Instrument.

These investments aim to increase the operational capacity of the MAI in essential areas, such as military mobility, management of multiple victims, CBRNe protection, mass evacuation, air and naval intervention, as well as critical communications.

The projects are carried out with suppliers approved by the Supreme Council of National Defense, according to Emergency Ordinance no. 62/2025.

Among the investments are ambulances, helicopters, special vehicles, and advanced communication solutions.

These measures will enhance the intervention capacity in emergency situations, including in cases of natural disasters and mass accidents.

MAI emphasizes the importance of these investments for the protection of the population and national security.
