Lindsey Vonn, the famous skier and Olympic champion, appeared on Monday night at the Met Gala in New York without crutches, marking an impressive achievement in her recovery process. Just three months after the serious accident she suffered during the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, which required multiple surgeries on her left leg, Vonn managed to take her first steps without assistance. Returning to the United States in February, she avoided amputation of her leg thanks to the intervention of surgeon Dr. Tom Hackett. Vonn also hinted that she might return to competition after coming out of retirement in 2024, considering that she wants to participate in the upcoming Olympic Games.
