Judge Lia Savonea is the only candidate registered for the post of president of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, currently held by Alina Corbu. Savonea, whose career has been marked by controversial decisions, is a former president of the SCM and of the Bucharest Court of Appeal. In her managerial project, she emphasizes the need to clarify roles in the judiciary, warning of confusion between the responsibilities of judges and prosecutors. Her candidacy has been announced by the SCM and the interview for her evaluation will take place soon.
