The coffin with the lifeless body of Mircea Lucescu has been placed at the National Arena

The legendary coach Mircea Lucescu passed away on Saturday, at the age of 80, and his coffin was placed on Wednesday at the National Arena. Those who admired 'Il Luce' are invited to pay their last respects, with public access allowed through a controlled circuit. The visiting schedule is as follows: Wednesday, April 8, between 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, with the first vigil service at 6:00 PM, and Thursday, April 9, between 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Lucescu died at the Emergency University Hospital in the Capital, where he had been hospitalized since March 29.

On Friday, the funeral ceremony will take place at the Saint Elefterie Church, with the service starting at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Bellu Cemetery, where public access will be restricted. The burial moment will be marked by military honors, in a sign of respect for the coach's merits.
