The National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) has announced that November 20 is the last day for vulnerable individuals and families to apply for heating assistance, according to Law 226/2021. This support is granted between November 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, and targets households with low incomes and individuals in financial difficulty. To qualify, the net average income must be below a certain threshold, and applicants must not own significant assets.

Applications are submitted to the local council, and the assistance is managed by ANPIS, being reimbursed directly to energy providers. In the previous season, ANPIS provided over 2 million aids, with a total value of 1.03 billion lei, highlighting the energy needs of the vulnerable population.
