Former president Klaus Iohannis was forcibly evicted by ANAF, being required to hand over the keys to the house in Sibiu, which he occupied illegally between 1999 and 2015. The tax authorities requested the handover of the property after Iohannis ignored eviction notices, and ANAF forced the door and changed the lock. The total debt was established at 4.7 million lei, representing unpaid rents and penalties. Iohannis recently lost another property in Sibiu, further complicating the legal situation of the family.
