President Nicușor Dan has signed the decree for the retirement of judge Ionela "Lia called me" Tudor, who will retire starting February 15. The retirement request was approved by the Superior Council of Magistracy on February 5. Ionela Tudor, at the age of 51, has had a varied career in the judiciary, having previously worked as a lawyer. She has been a judge at several courts, including the Bucharest Court of Appeal, where she served as vice president.
She stood out on several occasions: for the phrase "Lia called me" during the press conference following the scandal generated by the documentary "Captured Justice", and for the decision to suspend the analysis of the doctoral thesis of former Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă, citing the stability of the executive.
