Judge Bogdan Mateescu, known for the controversies in recent years in the Romanian judicial system, is preparing to leave the Ministry of Justice, where he holds the position of general secretary. Today, December 18, the Section for Judges of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) is discussing the termination of his secondment, according to the agenda published on the CSM website.


This decision could mark a new chapter in Mateescu's career, who has been at the center of intense debates regarding reforms in justice and the integrity of the judicial system.
