The heatwave on the Romanian coast has led to algae blooms covering the beaches of Năvodari, Constanța, Mamaia and Saturn.

Lately, many tourists have been complaining that they can't go in the water because of the algae, but also because of the odor caused by them. Apele Romane Dobrogea-Litoral have announced that efforts are being made every night to clean the beaches of algae, with heavy-duty equipment.
