A gas meter solenoid caught fire in Piatra-Neamț, and the authorities have suspended the gas supply to prevent incidents.

On Sunday morning, around 08:00, an electrovalve of a gas meter located outside a building in Mihail Kogălniceanu Square, Piatra-Neamţ, was found in flames.

Authorities quickly intervened after a call to 112, sending firefighters, employees of the gas supplier Delgaz Grid, and police to the scene. Firefighters found that the flame was coming from the electrovalve and acted to stop the gas supply. Inspections showed that there were no gas leaks inside the building, and the property was empty. The gas supply was halted, and the meter was sealed until the malfunctions were repaired.
