The Cluj-Napoca municipal police are investigating an incident from November 8, when a 14-year-old student brought an unauthorized weapon to school. While showing the weapon to classmates, a plastic ball was accidentally projected towards a girl's face, who received care from the school staff but was not taken to the hospital. The girl's parents were informed, but they did not wish to file a complaint. The weapon was confiscated by the police, and the student was sanctioned with a fine of 1,000 lei, according to Law no. 295/2004. The police emphasize the importance of parental supervision and the role of teachers in preventing such situations, which can have legal and emotional consequences for students. An informational poster has been distributed in educational institutions to promote safety.
