Hyundai has launched a recall campaign for 40,045 electric Inster vehicles after identifying a technical problem that could lead to a short circuit and, in some cases, to a fire.
This measure specifically targets vehicles in Europe, including nearly 500 registered in Romania. The defect is related to a three-way valve in the battery temperature control system, which, if it deteriorates, can cause coolant leaks. Authorities have not reported any incidents or damages, but the recall was initiated following notifications from Germany.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted to present themselves at an authorized service center, where the valve will be replaced with an optimized component. Hyundai emphasizes the importance of safety and will ensure the issue is remedied for all affected customers.
