In the context of budget constraints, several hospitals have begun to reduce the number of hospitalized patients. The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) has stated that this situation is temporary and is due to the delay in the budget for 2026, as well as the monthly spending caps, which it considers inadequate for the healthcare system.

CNAS emphasizes that the need for medical services cannot be planned administratively, and patients do not fall ill according to a budget calendar. Although the budget for 2026 is considered sufficient, CNAS proposes a reform in the financing method, suggesting that funds should follow patients and be directed towards services actually provided. Additionally, CNAS has sent the Control Body to check for possible hospitalization limits imposed by hospital managers, considering the significant differences in their activity and financial performance.
