Just three weeks after the mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, ordered the demolition of the fence at the CSS rowing base, thieves vandalized the entrance door and stole items, including sneakers and a radio. The incident was reported to the police, who assessed the damages.

The mayor justified the demolition of the fence, stating that the land belongs to the city and that it will be redone for community use. The director of CSS Bega emphasized the importance of protecting sports infrastructure and invited the mayor to a discussion about the needs of the clubs. The police have opened a criminal case for theft and are investigating the incident.
