Hidro Prahova is analyzing the purchase of water wells from Petrom to ensure water supply for the communities of Câmpina, Poiana Câmpina, and Breaza.

The President of the Prahova County Council, Virgiliu Nanu, had a meeting with representatives of OMV Petrom and the director of Hidro Prahova, Andrei Bontic, to discuss alternative water supply solutions for the communities of Câmpina, Poiana Câmpina, and Breaza. This discussion was prompted by the need to repair the Paltinu Dam, which will affect water supply. In this context, the possibility was evaluated for Hidro Prahova to purchase water wells owned by Petrom in the Bănești area. These boreholes could be integrated into the existing system, providing an alternative water source and ensuring the continuity of public service. A detailed technical analysis will follow to check the condition of the wells, the quality of the water, and the associated costs, and the final decision will be made after these evaluations.
