The temporary heating plant inaugurated during the term of general mayor Nicușor Dan has been closed. A harsh winter awaits the residents of eastern Bucharest, from crowded neighborhoods such as Colentina and Doamna Ghica.

The closure of the temporary heating plant in the Colentina and Doamna Ghica neighborhoods will severely affect the thermal comfort of the residents this winter. Energofor, the company that managed the plant, was forced to shut it down due to Titan Power SA's refusal to lease the necessary land. Residents risk being left without hot water and heating, and the future plant, which is to be built by Titan Power, will require time and resources, leaving Bucharest residents in uncertainty.
