The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, has decided to withdraw the provision limiting the access of patients with serious diseases to the Presidential Order for innovative treatments, given the delays in approving medicines in Romania. He stressed that the solution is not to limit patients' rights, but to create clear and sustainable rules. A strict mechanism will be introduced to monitor patients' progress and the assessments will determine possible cost-sharing agreements between CNAS and pharmaceutical companies. This decision follows consultations with patient associations to ensure a fairer health system.
