Environment Minister Mircea Fechet announced that the Guaranteed Return Guarantee System (GRS) collected more than 354 million packages in April, contributing significantly to reducing pollution. Over 20,000 tons of packaging were sent for recycling. The automated collection network expanded with 160 new machines. In the first months of 2025, the threshold of one billion packaging collected was exceeded, with notable increases in counties such as Vaslui and Maramureș.
