Sorin Grindeanu, the president of PSD, reaffirmed, in a message on Facebook, Romania's commitment to support the accelerated accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. He emphasized that Romania must act as the main advocate of this process, promoting closer economic cooperation and joint initiatives with European funds. Grindeanu communicated to the Moldovan Prime Minister, Alexandru Munteanu, Romania's support for the rapid start of accession negotiations.

He also highlighted the need for constant dialogue with pro-European parties in Moldova, collaboration between the parliaments of the two countries, and strengthening relationships at the local level. In the context of the conflict in Ukraine, Grindeanu emphasized the importance of strengthening the administrative and defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova, through partnerships with the European Union, NATO, and Romania.
