GNM general commissioner Andrei Corlan said that most of the control actions carried out on the coast have resulted in sanctions, highlighting a serious problem of compliance with environmental rules. Although it is forbidden to keep construction sites open in the summer season to prevent pollution, active construction sites and improperly landscaped construction sites have been identified, highlighting a poor environmental protection culture.
