On Saturday evening, a glider crashed in a field between Caracal and Drăghiceni, Olt county. The pilot, a man in his 40s, is trapped but conscious. ISU, ambulance and SMURD helicopter crews intervened to rescue him, encountering difficulties due to the position of the glider. The victim will be transported to the hospital in Craiova. The glider belongs to a private aeroclub and was on a recreational flight. The authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
