In a video posted on social media, George Simion announced that he will not participate in the Digi24 debate, accusing the organizers of lack of fairness and intention to humiliate him. He said he did not want to be subjected to a "media lynch mob" and criticized journalists for their approach. In contrast, Nicușor Dan accepted Digi24's invitation to take part in the debate. The Digi24 journalists mentioned that they were secretly filmed during their interaction with Simion.
