Generation Z is facing a heightened level of stress and anxiety, according to a survey conducted by Allianz-Țiriac, in which 75% of young people claim to experience these states at least a few days a week. The biggest concerns are related to the high cost of living (79.3%) and the inability to save for unexpected expenses (48.2%). Almost 60% of respondents feel uncertain about the future, and 43% acknowledge that they cannot control what it holds for them.

To manage stress, young people choose relaxation activities, time spent with family, and sports. However, 40% of them fear unexpected situations and the lack of a financial solution. Virgil Șoncutean, CEO of Allianz-Țiriac, emphasizes that Generation Z is clear-headed and that the need for security can no longer be postponed. Although many are aware of the necessity for financial protection, only 29.3% have tried to save, and only 2% have taken out insurance. Regarding emotional support, young people prefer to talk to family and friends, being reluctant to use artificial intelligence to address personal issues. The survey was conducted on a sample of 1,102 respondents from Romania.
