ANAF, the Customs Authority and the Ministry of Finance are going on strike in solidarity with the health unions.

Representatives of SED LEX, the union of employees from ANAF, the Ministry of Finance, and the Romanian Customs Authority (AVR), have announced that they will participate in the solidarity strike alongside other trade union organizations in the budget sector.

Public officials are preparing for a strike due to grievances generated by the new form of the Salary Law, which could lead to drastic cuts in income. The decision to protest was made quickly, and employees refuse to accept the legislative project in its current version, initiating legal actions to join the protests in the public sector.

The new salary calculation formula could reduce the monthly income of employees, prompting unions to form a united front against the Government's measures. According to estimates, salary losses could range between 2,000 and 4,000 lei per month.

SedLex has sent a firm message to the government, refusing any negotiation and initiating procedures for organizing the solidarity strike.

The schedule of protests will be established in the coming period, and union leaders promise to protect the rights of their members.
