RO-Alert in Agigea, after a garbage and scrap metal fire in the Port of Constanta. Firefighters are intervening with several fire trucks.

A garbage and scrap metal fire broke out on Sunday morning at 06:55 in the Agigea Port, Poarta 10 area, according to information provided by ISU Dobrogea.

Following the incident, a Ro-Alert message was issued to warn the population about the smoke emissions in the area. Firefighters confirmed that there is no risk of the fire spreading and that there are no casualties, thus evacuation of residents is not necessary.

At the scene, ISU Constanța mobilized 4 fire trucks with water and foam, one aerial platform, and a SMURD B crew, while a private operator sent a fire truck to assist in managing the situation.
