After noticing the weapon was missing, he began searching with the help of other locals, and the police joined in. The weapon was found by two young men, aged 18 and 28, who did not notify the authorities. The pistol and ammunition were later recovered, and the gamekeeper was fined 10,000 lei for failing to comply with weapon regulations. Additionally, his right to possess and carry a weapon was revoked. The police have opened a criminal case in this matter.
