On Saturday, four people, including a minor, were found safe after getting lost on a trail in the Măcin Mountains, Tulcea County. The alarm was raised at 00:21 through a call to 112, and the Command Center was activated to coordinate the intervention.

A total of 18 police officers from various structures of the Tulcea Police Inspectorate, gendarmes, firefighters, forestry personnel, and volunteers participated in the search operation, which lasted nearly five hours. The mixed teams began the search under nighttime conditions, and the four individuals were located and found safe around 05:12, without suffering injuries or needing medical care. After the operation was completed, they were safely escorted to their vehicle, located in the area of the Greci commune. The Măcin Mountains, with the highest peak, Vârful Țuțuiatul, at 467 m, are a popular destination for hikers.
