Marius Isăilă, former PSD senator, has been detained by the DNA for influence peddling, being accused of promising 1 million euros to facilitate contracts with Romtehnica.

Marius Isăilă, former PSD senator, was detained by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) for the crime of influence peddling. According to prosecutors, between October 9-15, 2025, Isăilă allegedly promised, through an intermediary, the sum of 1 million euros to the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, to intervene in favor of a private company for the signing of contracts with the national company Romtehnica.

The crime was committed in a state of recidivism, considering that Isăilă had previously served a sentence for other corruption offenses. Today, November 7, he will be presented to the Bucharest Tribunal with a proposal for preventive detention for 30 days.
