A 38-year-old man was detained after stealing a car from a carwash, fitting temporary plates and driving without a license.

The man, a former carwash employee, stole a car left by a customer by fitting temporary license plates to the vehicle. The theft took place on August 17 and the damage was estimated at €19,000. Police were notified by the owner and the man was detained for 24 hours before being brought before magistrates. Investigations are continuing under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sector 2.
