Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, emphasized the urgent need to increase the minimum wage in Romania, arguing that the current value does not allow for covering living costs, such as rent. Having experience working for minimum wage, he considers it unacceptable for a worker to not have sufficient resources for a decent living. Additionally, Manole mentioned that he does not support the idea of young people working before completing their studies, promoting education as a priority.
