Five people aged between 19 and 38 have been placed under preventive arrest in Neamț for serious crimes, including human trafficking and drug trafficking. From the evidence gathered, it appears that between 2024 and 2026, a woman and a man recruited victims, both minors and adults, for sexual exploitation, using manipulative methods such as offering gifts and involving them in household activities. The victims, coming from disorganized families, were subsequently forced to provide sexual services for money.

Additionally, the suspects provided high-risk drugs, such as crystal and cocaine, to better control the victims. Another man, 32 years old, was involved in transporting the victims, while a 19-year-old was identified as a source of supply for illegal substances.

DIICOT prosecutors, with the support of the police, conducted searches in Târgu Neamț, discovering drugs, money, and other evidence. The five suspects have been detained and placed under preventive arrest by the Neamț Tribunal.
