Gas leak on Popa Tatu street: ISU Bucharest-Ilfov firefighters are intervening, without the need for evacuating residents.

The firefighters from ISU Bucharest-Ilfov intervened on Wednesday evening after a gas leak was reported from an underground pipeline on Popa Tatu Street. The recorded gas levels did not exceed the alarm threshold, so it was not necessary to evacuate residents from nearby buildings.

However, for the safety of citizens, a safety perimeter of 100 meters was established around the affected area. ISU teams conducted checks in the neighboring buildings, confirming that there are no immediate risks. Currently, a team from the gas company is working to fix the malfunction, and ISU is operating with a fire truck to ensure fire prevention measures.
