A firefighter from the Arad Emergency Situations Inspectorate was sentenced to five months in prison, with the suspension of the sentence, after attempting to defraud the Baccalaureate exam. The man admitted his guilt in a case of disclosing non-public information, having been caught with hidden audio-video equipment, through which he wanted to receive the solutions to the subjects from his girlfriend.

In June 2025, he was contacted by a person who requested 3,300 euros to provide him with the necessary equipment, advancing the sum of 900 euros. During the exam, the authorities conducted searches and discovered the equipment on him. The firefighter was taking the exam to advance in his career, wanting to move into the ranks of non-commissioned officers.
