The fire occurred around 02:20 in an apartment on Polonă Street, Timișoara. Firefighters intervened with three fire engines and two SMURD teams. The fire spread over an area of 15 square meters on the first floor. Two adults and a child self-evacuated, and a cat was rescued. 80 people were evacuated from the building, and six adults and two children received medical assistance, refusing transport to the hospital. It is suspected that the fire was caused by a candle left burning.
