The flames engulfed an apartment located on the second floor, and the firefighters' intervention was extensive, involving two fire engines, a ladder truck, and medical teams. Approximately 12 people self-evacuated, while five residents from the 4th floor were rescued with the help of the ladder truck. The fire was contained to a single room, where textile materials and furniture burned, and the preliminary cause was a short circuit in an electric radiator. Three people suffered panic attacks but refused transport to the hospital.
After the fire was extinguished, the smoke was evacuated, and the residents were able to return safely. The ISU emphasized the importance of the correct use of electrical appliances and personal safety in case of fire.
