The firefighters from the Caransebeș Fire Department intervened to extinguish a fire that broke out in an electrical panel in a technical room of the Caransebeș Municipal Emergency Hospital. The incident occurred around 11:00 PM, when the medical staff noticed smoke in the ward on the first floor and decided to evacuate 18 patients as a precaution, including 11 from a Psychiatry ward and 7 from Emergency. The intervention teams arrived quickly at the scene, where they found that the smoke was coming from the basement of the building. The fire was quickly located and extinguished, without any casualties being reported. The intervention involved two fire trucks, a ladder truck, a SMURD ambulance, and a SAJ ambulance.
