On Saturday, firefighters were called to intervene in the commune of Trifești, Neamț County, to extinguish a fire that broke out at a construction site of an economic operator in the wood processing sector. Forces from the Roman Fire Department, SVSU Trifești, and IPJ were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the fire was manifesting with open flames on the roof of a hall, with the risk of spreading to the entire building and to the wooden materials inside. Firefighters acted to contain and extinguish the fire, simultaneously evacuating 25 cubic meters of timber. 100 square meters of the wooden roof burned, and the technological drying system for the wood was damaged. The probable cause of the fire was an unprotected smoke flue against combustible materials.
