Stelian Bujduveanu explained that fines for illegal parking cannot be collected by the Capital City Hall due to legislation that requires the identification of the vehicle owner on site. He mentioned that the City Hall has requested for four years the database of car owners from DGPCI, but without success. In the last five years, notices of assessment have been issued totaling 700,000 lei, which will be collected once the City Hall has access to the database. Bujduveanu emphasized the complexity of the current procedures and the high costs for the administration.
