President Nicușor Dan, message after the tragedy in Switzerland: "I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and send sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the Swiss people, and President Guy Parmelin"

President Nicușor Dan conveys, on Thursday, that at the beginning of the new year, he was deeply saddened to learn about the explosion and fire that took place in Crans-Montana, which caused numerous casualties and injuries.

Switzerland is in mourning in the early hours of 2026. An explosion in a bar has likely caused "dozens of deaths" and about 100 injuries in Crans Montana, a ski resort in the Valais canton, local police announced on Thursday. 

"At the beginning of the new year, I was deeply saddened to learn about the explosion and fire that took place in Crans-Montana, which caused numerous casualties and injuries. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured and extend my sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the Swiss people, and President Guy Parmelin," is the message posted on platform X by President Nicușor Dan.
