Fănel Bogos, a businessman from Vaslui, has been detained for 24 hours as part of a DNA investigation regarding a network of influence peddling, involving politicians and former generals from the services. He is accused of bribery, incitement, and complicity in extortion. His lawyer stated that Bogos considers himself innocent and that the accusations are unfounded. The case also mentions Ilie Bolojan, who confirmed a discussion with Bogos but denied any involvement in the accusations made. The DNA conducted 23 searches in several counties, targeting individuals suspected of influence peddling, bribery, and other crimes. It seems that the network has connections to well-known names in politics, including Călin Georgescu and Horațiu Potra.
